We’re beginning a new arc this week. As a rule we try to hold an arc to no more than 4 strips. Sometimes the story we want to tell dictates that we do more, but we will try to stay in that range.
When we started coming up with things we wanted to cover in the strip we discovered that we liked doing story arcs. I think it’s the comic geek nature in us to want to tell a story. We want our characters to have a history and relationship between each other. We do that in the dailies, but an arc peppered in gives us a chance to push the characters to a deeper level. I think we are getting to a happy medium between arcs and dailies. The story continues to evolve and we like seeing it grow.
