Maybe drinking is on my mind. it’s summertime and nothing beats a cold beer on a hot day. We also have guests visiting for the week and it’s nice to chat with a drink in hand. In today’s strip Zack needs a drink or two to talk to a girl. (Not all geeks can’t talk to girls, but it is a stereotype for a reason.) I’ve taken to enjoying a Tom Collins recently and it make a perfect summer drink. All of this talk of drinking raises one question. What comic character would I like to drink with? I know, I know, Wolverine is the obvious answer for most. Maybe Batman for some. I think I would go with Magneto. His life experiences and passion would be great for bar talk. I’m sure he would be a hard drinker too. I imagine his drink of choice would scotch on the rocks. If I were a mutant and got a few in me, I would join the cause. So, how about it what comic character would you drink with?

My #1 ‘just sit and have some drinks with” hero would be Ted “Wildcat” Grant. That dude was a boxer back in the days when being a boxer was like being King of a small country. He fought Mohammed Ali for the title and WON, so his stories would be pretty amazing.
Plus he’s kind of a down to Earth dude, so there wouldn’t likely be a lot of awkward pauses.
