I don’t make resolutions. If I have to wait until a new year to make a change, I’ve already failed. I am not very good at giving advice that doesn’t deal with comic books. However, if I were to give advice, this is what I’d say. You should be able to start doing something challenging at any point during the year. It’s not going to get any easier by waiting for a mythical new year. I think setting a goal date is much more important. For example, “I will read the entire Dresden series before May first.” The ending gives you focus. Zack is the kind of guy that makes tons of resolutions and is done in a week or two. He has no real goals set. He wants to see change as quickly as possible. I hope everyone out there that started a resolution is still going strong. Don’t be like Zack. Stick to your plan.
